Our Work with RePower Ukraine

Our fundraiser has finished but our support will continue!

A few words from RePower Ukraine:

“We did it! Together with incredible partners, we’ve raised all the funds needed to install a solar power station at the hospital in Slobozhanske, just 45 km from the frontline in Ukraine — that’s less than the distance across London from east to west.

Due to constant shelling, the hospital faces frequent power outages, putting lives at risk in intensive care units, operating rooms, and emergency services. A 36.5 kW solar and battery system will soon provide stable electricity and ensure uninterrupted medical care, even during blackouts.

This has become possible thanks to the support of Photon Energy and Midsummer, both active members of Solar Energy UK. They donated vital equipment and helped raise £15,000 for the project. The funds will cover not only the solar and battery system but also the locally procured mounting structures, cabling, and installation in Ukraine.

Thank you for standing with us and for believing in the power of renewable energy to save lives.”

This is why we have decided to collaborate with RePower Ukraine. Their work is incredibly important, and we are committed to raising as much money as possible to support their efforts.
