Photon Energy is a Collection Point in partnership with PV CYCLE!

We are excited to offer a free and convenient way for you to recycle your end-of-life solar panels. As a Dedicated Collection Facility (DCF), we accept PV panels for recycling and follow PV CYCLE’s clear and compliant disposal procedures. This ensures that all solar waste is treated safely and responsibly, in line with the UK’s WEEE Regulations.

This partnership reflects our ongoing commitment to sustainability and supporting a circular economy within the solar industry. By choosing to recycle solar panels, you're helping to reduce environmental impact and give valuable materials a second life.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
While we have multiple offices across the UK, we currently accept PV panels for recycling only at our Dartford office. Please ensure all deliveries are directed to this location. Unit 6, Crayside Industrial Estate, Thames Road, Dartford, DA1 4RF. 

 

Recycling Procedure for <20 Panels (Household Quantities)

  • Find us: Unit 6, Crayside Industrial Estate, Thames Road, Dartford, DA1 4RF.

  • Download & complete the Delivery Request Form before your visit. Please call us if you experience any issues: 0203 696 2060.

  • Contact us to schedule an appointment (details on how to do it is on the Delivery Request Form). 

  • Bring your PV panels with the completed form.

  • Once we receive your panels, you’ll receive a signed copy of your Delivery Request Form as proof of delivery.

Important note: We are unable to accept solar panels that have been fire-damaged or contaminated with construction waste. These will need to be disposed of by alternative methods.

 

Recycling Procedure for >20 Panels (Professional Installations)

For larger quantities (more than 20 panels) from professional installations or solar farms, Photon Energy does not handle the collection directly. However, we can assist you in working with PV CYCLE to manage this process:

  • Request a Quote: Complete the Quotation Request Form and email it to operations@pvcycle.org.

  • Please attach important information such as number and pictures of your end-of-life PV panels, available packaging (original packaging, pallets or other packaging unit), and number, overall size and weight of each packaging unit.

  • Once you receive a quote and agree on the terms, proceed with payment.

  • After payment, the PV Cycle team will organise a pick-up with you.

Please note that only complete pick-up request forms can be treated in due time. PV panels prepared for pick-up need to be appropriately packed for transport on pallets or other packaging units in advance. For more information, contact the central Operations service at operations@pvcycle.org.
