Meet the team
Jonathan has a degree in Chemical Engineering from University College London and a PhD from the Newcastle Photovoltaics Application Centre at the University of Northumbria. He has worked in the solar PV and wider renewable energy industry since 1994 and is now Managing Director of Photon Energy.
Jonathan is currently serving his third, 3 year term as an elected member of the board of the UK’s Solar Trade Association and chairs the STA’s Rooftop PV Working Group. He has been a member of the Micro-generation Certification Scheme’s (MCS) PV Working Group since the scheme’s inception in 2007.
Lucy has a degree in Electronic & Electrical Engineering and is a Member of the Institute of Engineering Technology.
Lucy has managed renewable energy installation projects for over seventeen years. She is responsible for Photon’s Engineering team and applies her extensive project management experience in training our dedicated engineers and overseeing the design of our systems.
Michael is a fully qualified electrician who began as a contracts manager for a leading Electrical Contractor before moving into renewable energy. He is our duty holder/QM for the NICEIC.
He has been working in renewable energy since 1999 and is responsible for overseeing the work of installation teams, on site quality and Health and Safety. He recently completed his NEBOSH construction certificate and is a member of the IET and IOSH.
Abu holds a MSC in Sustainable Energy and Entrepreneurship and has been awarded a distinction in these fields. Abu has a wealth of experience and has been with Photon Energy since 2011. He has been a Senior Engineer since 2015, is Member of the IET and working towards a Chartered status.
His role includes detailed commercial PV project design, planning and management, grid connection applications and liaison with DNOs.
Jenny has a 1st Class Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and has held chartered status with the Institute of Mechanical Engineers since 2013.
Her role includes preparing proposals for solar PV installations and managing the installation of these systems, with a focus on commercial projects.
Lefteris gained a Master of Science degree in Engineering Business Management at University of Warwick in 2005, after completing a MEng in Mechanical Engineering in 2004.
He joined Photon Energy in 2014 and since May 2017, he has held chartered status with the Institute of Mechanical Engineers.
Rikki graduated from Sheffield University with a MEng degree in Mechanical Systems Engineering in 2013 and has been with Photon Energy ever since. Rikki has worked his way up to the role of Senior Project Engineer. Over the years he has gained a lot of practical experience from working on quotations, technical designs and managing PV system installations of various scales.
Rikki heads up the Multiple Housing team, and has overall responsibility for the running of each new build project. Rikki is currently working towards chartered status with the IET.
Chris joined Photon Energy in 2011 and has over 14 years’ experience, installing and maintaining solar PV systems.
As a qualified electrician, he holds the Site Supervisors Training Scheme (SSS) qualification and has supervised a vast number of Photon Energy’s installations. Chris’ involvement on site plays an integral part in the successful and timely delivery of our projects.
Claire joined Photon Energy in 2014 to take over the day-to-day running of the Finance department. Claire has studied both AAT and ACCA, she has applied her previous knowledge to build a small team in order to support the business and it’s growth.
Claire started her career thirty years ago working with Deloitte Haskins & Sells (PWC) as an auditor. In the time since, Claire has worked for a number of organisations where she was a key player in creating finance teams and systems in the retail & recruitment sector. During this time she was instrumental in the fast track expansion programmes within these business.
