Hart Leisure Centre, hampshire

Photon Energy installed a 165.55 kWp photovoltaic (PV) system at Hart Leisure Centre, Fleet, Hants, working alongside Willmott Dixon. This installation was shortlisted by SPP for 'Commercial Rooftop Solar PV Project' 2017.

The system comprises of 602 Trina monocrystalline black 275W PV modules mounted in a single area on the pitched standing seam roof of new state-of-the-art leisure centre built by Willmott Dixon for Hart District Council in Fleet, Hampshire.

The modules connect to Solis inverters, located on a flat roofed open plant area, designed for ease of access. An energy generation meter is connected to the building’s management system (BMS), enabling remote monitoring of the PV system.

The system is expected to generate around 152,390 kWh of energy per annum and save 77.84 tonnes of CO2 emissions each year.

Hart Leisure Centre represents a £23 million flagship leisure facility built by Willmott Dixon for Hart District Council in Fleet to help improve the health of the local community.

Brian Woodford, Services Manager at Willmott Dixon said: “It was a pleasure to work with Photon Energy, their project managers and site team were very professional throughout the design and installation process. We’re very happy with the quality of the end result and I wouldn’t hesitate to work with them again on future projects.”
