Hanwell Chase, Phase 2

Photon Energy has installed a 165 kWp Solar PV system at Hanwell Chase in Banbury, Oxfordshire.

Persimmon Homes awarded Photon Energy the contract to design, install and commission the solar PV systems at this new development of eco-friendly homes.

The development of 62 new build homes required extensive planning and featured a total of 612 Viridian Clearline Fusion panels. The seamless appearance of the in-roof panels was ideally suited to the modern aesthetic of the homes.

The average system size per home is 2.66kWp, made up of around 9 panels on each roof which will generate approximately 2,530 kWh of electricity per year.

For homeowners, these installations offer considerable savings on energy bills while driving down carbon emissions. Each property was design-specific, with the panels expertly integrated into the roofs by our skilled site team and orientated in the optimal direction for maximum energy generation.

The project, run by our experienced senior engineer Eva Tejedor-Alonso, began in 2019 and is among those set to make integration of rooftop solar PV systems standard practise for new build housing projects.
